My, how times have changed at the “Pharmacy America Trusts” ? Walgreen states that they are “invested in your safety and wellness”, but we are refusing to fill the controlled meds that your prescriber has deemed are medically necessary for treating your specific health issues. This IN NO WAY IMPACTS YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH WALGREENS and WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE. On Walgreens you can find any medicine you need like for example if you are having prostate problems and you are looking for a medicine like prostadine you can go there and I’m pretty sure you will find them.
So one of the basic functions of the practice of medicine is the starting, changing, stopping a pt’s therapy. So if this pt can’t find another pharmacy to fill her controlled med Rxs… could Walgreen be considered the genesis of this pt’s medications being stopped ? They clearly state in the letter that the pharmacists at her local Walgreens had no involvement with this decision, which would imply that it was done by someone or some computer algorithm at Walgreen’s corporate HQ. NOTHING PERSONAL !

Walgreens stated in their statement that they won’t prescribe “controlled substances”. & then goes on to say “This IN NO WAY IMPACTS YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH WALGREENS”. What??? Well, thats a bold LIE! It ABSOUTELY impacts their relationship! Cuz I’d NEVER go there again!!! How can they(or any pharmacy) refuse to fill our medically needed prescriptions?
Omg! ALL of this needs to STOP! CDC Opioid Guidelines & DEA Restrictions of medically needed opioid medications need to be VOIDED, Taken down & STOPPED NOW! Never should have happened in the 1st place. Gov’t is DESTROYING our lives!!! They need to STOP NOW!
Honestly, our gov’t should be held accountable for murder for all cut from their once effective Rx pain meds that pushed hundreds of thousands to illegal drugs, overdosed & died as well as committed suicide cuz they couldn’t handle the pain that their Rx pain meds once helped. If anyone of us caused someone else to lose their life, we’d be held accountable & thrown in jail in a heartbeat.
Our gov’t are “supposed” to be leaders. Which means, they should be role models & go first. They should have to live through excruciating ongoing pain for years without the help of Rx pain meds. & then & only then(if they can withstand the pain for even a couple days & having many thousands do the same) should they be able to make a decision on making “guidelines” or restrictions, for the rest of us. We should be able to hold them accountable for their mistakes for harming, torturing & killing us! Because you know they wouldn’t even blink an eye if anyone of us did something like that.
Its just not fair at all that they get away with any of this. I don’t see why we can’t sue them & hold them accountable. Why not? Its a 2 way street. They’d do it to us. So they should also be held accountable.
