The two faces of “cruel and unusual punishment”

http://www.medpagetoday.com/comments.cfm?tbid=43878

This poor fellow … may have “suffered” for MAYBE 25 minutes because of poor choice of drugs used in his execution.. After he raped and murdered a woman and her unborn child.. IMO .. his “suffering” was NOTHING compared to what suffering he has caused her, her unborn baby and their family.

Personally, I am rather ambivalent about  capital punished… I have been told that the cost of all the mandatory appeals ends up costing the system more than the cost of letting them rot in prison.. If that is correct.. then let them rot in jail…

But on the “other face”… you opiophobic or holier than thou… healthcare professional..  or bureaucrats like Indiana’s AG Zoeller and Florida’s AG Bondi

who believes that everyone taking opiates long term are addicts ..  you should read the following websites and webpage

http://americannewsreport.com/nationalpainreport/

https://www.facebook.com/groups/APFActionNetworkFlorida/

In these pages are the stories of people you arrogant ass-holes at Walgreens and your “good faith policy” and the morons at the DEA.. that have created all of these problems … and then denying that they have any responsibility…

And you spineless – ball-less pharmacists.. who let these non-professional dictate how you are to act responsibility.. unless you are one of those Pharmacists that believes what they read in “the book” that opiates/controlled drugs .. are BAD ..BAD..BAD.. Professional wisdom is knowing the different between what the rules are and what the exceptions to the rules are…

I know… you are afraid of your friggin job..but.. many of you have caused people to go into withdrawal and drop out of the work force because they can’t get enough medication to adequately manage their pain .. so that they can be a good worker, good spouse and good parent… NOT YOUR PROBLEM – RIGHT ??

Remember your OATH !

“I promise to devote myself to a lifetime of service to others through the profession of pharmacy. In fulfilling this vow:

  • I will utilize my knowledge, skills, experiences, and values to prepare the next generation of pharmacists.

I take these vows voluntarily with the full realization of the responsibility with which I am entrusted by the public.”
