The common denominator !

Personally I am getting weary of all the headlines and news stories about “drugs kills people/persons”…. “guns kills people/persons”… What we seem to “skip over” is the following:

Tobacco use kills people .. some 440,000 per year

Alcohol use/abuse  kills people some 145,000 per year

Texting/talking on the phone while driving kills people

Cars kill people

Motorcycles kills people

Swimming in the ocean when there are rip-tides kills people

Not being compliant with needed medication can kill people

The common denominator is that when people act irresponsibly .. PEOPLE CAN DIE !

The bureaucrats can try to regulate, legislate irresponsible human behavior… IMO … we are never going to reach 100% making people act responsible … we can fine them… we can jail them.. and a certain part of the population will continue to act irresponsible… and they will continue to find ways around those rules that are suppose to “reign them in”.

One has to ask… is it irresponsible to hinder/harm the majority of the population that are responsible.. while trying to get that portion of the population that cannot/will not be responsible?
