Document.. Document… Document.. share.. share .. share

Those of you who work for a corporation, you probably know that your employer keeps a file on you.. and many of the things in that file.. has you signature on it.. acknowledging that you are aware of what is being put in your file.

How many of you maintain a file on your employer’s activities? I recently seen that one company’s expectation of their employees is nothing less than superior service. I guess they never heard of a bell curve !

One RPH that I know of .. .when s/he was fired over getting into a pissing match with the FE manager over a decision that was under Pharmacist’s control.. already had a 5″ thick binder of documentation on how his employer operated.

IMO.. his/her one short coming.. is that s/he never sent a email of concern about something that was being done.. that would cost the company money, caused an employee to violate the company’s P&P or some law or harm a patient. They may have given him/her a wide berth because they were aware of all those documents that had been accumulated.

Right to work laws not withstanding, an employer cannot force a employee to violate a law and/or fire an employee for refusing to do so.

But since they were not aware of this binder of documentation.. they acted as if.. they were the only ones that were in the cat bird’s seat.
