“We’re moving full bore ahead,” Carmen Catizone, MS, RPh, DPh, the executive director of the association, told Pharmacy Practice News. “The response from the states has been incredible. They’ve said, ‘This is an issue we own and we’re going to move quickly on it.’”

Wouldn’t it be nice if they took ownership of all the deaths/harm that is caused by community RPH’s having to work 14 hr days without breaks and expected to work in an environment that many are nothing more than organized chaos?

But that would mean taking on some mighty big corporations… the same corporations that have execs sitting on 75% of the BOP’s and BIG SPONSORS of the NABP’s annual convention !  Just have to follow the money trail…

  1. Have you checked the executive directors of the NABP? Most of them have a connection to a chain:

    Executive Committee Member: William John Cover, RPh , he is the corporate manager of pharmacy affairs for Walgreens Pharmacy
    Executive Committee Member: Jeanne D. Waggener, RPh is a pharmacy manager for Wal-Mart
    Executive Committee Member: Mark D. Johnston, RPh From 2000 to 2007, Mr Johnston held the position of pharmacy district manager for Albertsons/SUPERVALU pharmacies
