So I recently found out I’m at I’m in liver failure I went to see The Specialist and basically I was told because I’m on opioid they will do absolutely nothing to help me giving me less than a year to live it’s insane I don’t drink I do everything I can to take care of myself this was caused by no fault of me and basically I’m being given a death sentence how is that okay

It’s not right in ANY way. Proves that at least some entities just want us to die! Run,don’t walk to another doctor! Make a lot of noise on a public level!!
Get to another “specialist”! This is a load of bs. And make sure you file a complaint with the governing board. This is unacceptable. I’m angry on your behalf. This nonsense with panic legislation & bullying the patients has gone too far!!
This specialist needs to be exposed for the fraud that he he or she is. A complaint needs to be made to the medical Licensing Board in your state, a newspaper article needs to be taken out with this arrogant idiots name all over it. You need to go see somebody else and tell him what you were told.
Keep seeing other doctors!!!! What amount do tgey consider low enough? Getting a liver has a number that you are rated by. Such as age, any meds or alcohol use. Other medical issues. And age of person the organ comes from. Find out your ratings and how to raise them.
How is this okay? Not saving a life because of a medication they have to take? Someone who drinks or takes Ibuprofen would get help but not this person? How are they any different? Discrimination IMO this isn’t right!
Sounds like you need to see a better specialist. Don’t give up keep up the fight
