I would like to see the statue code on this one

noparents

This was reportedly posted in a physician’s office…

Pediatric patients are now covered by OSHA ?

Pediatric patients are to be seen without a parent/guardian present because of HIPAA ?

  1. Steve…A well known medical group from Indy who contracts insurance offers online access to your chart. However it cuts off parent access to children at age 14 unless they give permission. Im seeing this more and more and in some places as young as 12. I disagree with this practice. These are minors. I gave my kids option at 16 of seeing doc themselves BUT I STILL SPOKE WITH DOC/NURSE OF MY CONCERNS prior and findings after cause sometimes my kids were like ‘i dont know’ minors per law cant sign legal papers so how can they supposedly legally sign medical release forms????? Also yet if kid has an operation Im still required to sign the.consent

  2. Time for a new pediatrician
