Hi Steve, I just stumbled on one of your blogs

My name is XXX, a one-year old in the profession of pharmacy. I recently put down a 2 week notice of resignation as pharmacist in one of XXXXX busiest areas from my current employer CVSCaremark. I love my job as a pharmacist and really do care for the well being of my patients…but the cvs approach to patient care may sound very good in the eyes of the customer but actually deceptive. That is, employees are severely stressed out.  I just got tired of cvs because I can’t be a pharmacist dispenser and consultant and immunizer, an employee motivator, a salesperson and a bookkeeper all at once. It’s really tough. I have to fake that smile all day. Thanks for pushing out pharmacy alliance networks. You are not going unnoticed.

This showed up in my inbox today… I have left off the name and the city – which is a very large city – where this RPH works..  It pretty much says it all about this particular chain’s work environment !

  1. He/she neglected to mention cashier, switchboard operator, insurance billing info detective, narcotics agent, ScriptPro maintanence tech, “Action Note” cop, company apologist…

    Shall I go on?
