Patrick: Framingham pharmacy should have been disciplined before ‘death by meningitis’

from today’s article:

While the board of pharmacy, at the governor’s direction, plans to revoke the license for New England Compounding Center and for three pharmacists in charge, “it shouldn’t have taken death by meningitis to get there,” Patrick said during his monthly segment on WTKK-FM. “I think that’s a question in a lot of people’s mind. I’m trying to get to the bottom of that.”

From Tuesday… just two days before…

Papers: State knew NECC broke Rx laws

We’ve abided by our regulations as you’ve heard, our regulations are comparable to and more stringent than many other states. My own view is we need to go further.”

our regulations are comparable to and more stringent than many other states  – if this is true… our entire system may need to be turned over to hospice… should we just place it on a DNR and let it spin out of control and crash… so that we can start all over again. It may be easier/quicker to build a new system rather than try to overhaul the one in place.

If this didn’t involve 300 +/- sick patients and 24 deaths… it would be drop down on the floor laughing hysterical … watching all the bureaucrats dance, dodge & weave and drop out of sight.
