  1. Steve, I am sorry you have had to go through all this. I love and appreciate the info you have been SO FAITHFUL to give out to the chronic pain and intractable pain community. I haven’t made comments much for just trying to do life-stuff close to home. But I truly would like to let you know how much your posts have meant to SO VERY MANY, I’m sure, who have been quiet. God bless you in everything you plan on in the future. Please know how much the posts have meant.

  2. Steve this truly saddens me. I know to well how well intended help winds up being a slap in the face! I, too, walked away from advocating bc the drama, lack of participation and moaning, complaining And lastly the harassment via numerous web pages, contact to family members, etc.,etc. I never once asked for money and funded my trip with a proposed Bill only own without true affiliation to any group. It’s so sad…will you be leaving contact info bc l believe you are needed in the community!! I’m certain others would agree…it seems our freedom of speech is monitored by liberals who remove anything they don’t want to be heard or seen

  3. It sad Steve. You tried. Ive tried. I deleted my few posts from Fedbook that I recently placed and haven’t been back since. Nothing has been achieved by advocating on social media. It’s why I left long ago. You even back a decade ago we couldn’t get people to take action then, therwas drama over then and nothing has changed. I have enjoyed your blog posts, read most all of them. I wish you well buddy but I hope to see you back again..God Bless.

  4. I entered pharmacy school at UNC-Chapel Hill in 1964 and practiced until 2018 or so.
The chronic pain community is my area of concentration. Marginalized, misunderstood, underrepresented, and belittled by many; this group is seeing its death rate increase along with the rise in illicit fentanyl analogs which fuel the opioid crisis.
I applaud Steve’s commitment and wish him continued health and strength.!

  5. Steve, THANK YOU and God bless you for all you’ve done for the chronic pain community. I agree, that closed groups are not the way to get our point across. We need to let healthy people in the groups to hear what we’re trying to get across, IMHO.

I’ve been working with my State Rep, now State Senator, since late 2019, and now his replacement after the 2020 election, but I can’t get others to help. There’s a man running for governor this year, that I’ve been pushing to say, one way or another, if he will listen to and help us. I’m frustrated because I don’t see anyone else posting in his Fakebook live feeds, no matter how many times I ask. I tell him there are thousands of us in the state, but he’s not taking me seriously when nobody else will back me up. I’ve had ONE other person “like” my post and I don’t even know who he is. I saw this candidate at a campaign event last fall but didn’t get to talk to him long enough and wasn’t able to stay until the end. This is a difficult fight, and not to disparage anyone in particular, but I can’t get him to believe me when nobody else will even go to his feeds and just “Like” my comments.

I can’t give up this fight but I need help. I’ve only been doing this since August of 2019 and I can’t imagine your frustration, having done this for decades. As more groups pop up, I’ve wondered how powerful we could be as ONE.

I’m seeing someone infiltrating the pain groups again, and have absolute proof that she’s not one of us, but I can’t get people to see what they don’t want to see. I just want to get my / our meds back and then move on with my life. Everyone wants meds back but not all are willing to get BOLD.

Thanks for letting me vent. God help us all. I went to the funeral home today for a friend younger than me, another victim of the ACA, DEA, CDC etc. She is free. No more pain. In so many ways, I envy her.
