I remember going to the “grocery store” at about 6 or 7 years old with my Mom in the early 60’s.
The budget for my parents, myself ,and 2 brothers was $20.00!
That’s it, that’s all.
She never went over the budget, maybe a few cents.
We ate well.
Really hate to be pessimistic but, things do not look well for the very near future, just as people complained about in 1957, only how to get out of debt, nationally, this time?

My first car, a year old 67 Camaro, seemed high at $2000! After the war, my Dad’s first plane cost $50. He took off in his parents field.
