Dr. Mark Ibsen has been fighting the bureaucratic establishment in Montana for the last couple of years…over their BELIEF that he is over prescribing pain meds to patients. He has no pts die from a overdose and he has been successful in reducing many pts’ pain with alternative therapies and reducing their total opiates at the same time.
In listening/reading statements from his current and previous pts.. he is nothing short of “Dr Welby” of the northwest. The state of Montana has seemingly unlimited financial resources to carry on this inquisition of Dr Ibsen.. unfortunately, Dr. Ibsen doesn’t have an equal amount of unlimited financial resources to fend off this unrelenting attack by these ruthless bureaucrats.
The chief inquisitor – Attorney Fanning – brought in “experts” that are licensed by the same state of Montana as Dr. Ibsen… to testify against Dr Ibsen.
Normally in such situations, you want “experts” from states outside of the one the testimony is being taken in.. so that there is little/no chance of the expert can feel intimidated having to testify before the same bureaucracy that controls their own professional license. If the bureaucracy is going after one of its own registrants… with questionable accusations… who would testify against the view/claims/beliefs of the inquisitor for fear of that same inquisitor “turning on you”… for not sharing the views/claims/beliefs and testifying in favor of the standards of care and helping DISPROVE the inquisitor’s case.
I have read a fair amount of the entire transcript of the “inquisition” of Dr. Ibsen and I came way thinking “what a crock ”
I did not start this fund raiser site and have no participation in it – other than contributing to it – but we need to get Attorneys and our judicial system out of interfering with the practice of medicine. If this “practicing medicine with a license” by our judicial system has not directly/indirectly affected you yet.. be patient.. it will eventually..
