Nonprescription Drugs as Likely to Poison Patients as Prescriptions

Of the 10,392 cases in the registry, 53% involved patients in emergency departments. Pharmaceutical overdoses occurred in 48% of patients—a combination of intentional overdoses in 37% of patients and unintentional in 11% of patients.
This study would suggest that law enforcement is all too ready to label a “death by drug overdose” as ACCIDENTIAL…but.. in reality <25% are ACCIDENTIAL and >75% is INTENTIONAL… called SUICIDE.
How much more money do you think that the DEA and law enforcement would get for the war on drugs.. if they stated that >75% of “death by drug overdose” is a SUICIDE.
Generally, people who commit suicide.. have mental health issues… those that abuse drugs have mental health issues… do you see a pattern here??
Is the war on drugs.. at least legal pharmaceuticals… is really a war against the mentally ill and/or otherwise sick in our society?
