  1. Old Tech I agree with you. You say a lot of valid points. I am a student right now and at least at my school they are teaching us not to chase the money and not to accept unsafe working conditions (or to go against our morals and ethics) for the high pay. Unfortunately the portion of graduates who decided to be a pharmacist only for the money are always going to be the ones who work for the big box pharmacies. You are right about the mistakes too, it is encouraged to sweep them under the rug, or if the pharmacist is making mistakes that threaten patients or break laws they are simply moved to another store (yeah that solves the problem) and don’t get me started about the ethics line.

  2. Mistakes happen on a semi regular basis. The pharmacists are just scared to report them knowing CVS has younger pharmacists just waiting on the sidelines to happily work for less. It is impossible to make a pharmacy function like a fast food drive thru and expect top notch care. Something has to give.

    • Oldtech..at some point it will be the WRONG person and a huge mistake…im not discounting that any other errors are wrong or huge..all are and can be bad all the way around…yes we are human…the problem is there are way too many distractions, ignoring the counseling laws and TOO MUCH CHAOS in the pharmacy. The state boards refuse to take action b/c they are stacked w chain people and “its NOT their business to interfere on telling a chain how to run its business” excuse me…it does when patient safety is on the line!!!! Someday someone will refuse the nondisclosure settlement and sue the pants off a big box in public and then the state boards will be forced to sit up and take theyre heads out of the sand.

  3. Finally!!…..I think sometime Justice like God is in its own time zone and runs on an entirely different calendar system other than Julian, Gregorian or Solar. Revving up the prayer machine
