With the rapid emergence and prevalence of generative AI, job security remains a top concern for most professionals, aside from security and privacy. As the technology becomes more advanced, it’s becoming more apparent that it could take over some jobs.

Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff recently revealed that the company is using AI to automate up to 50% of its work. As you might already know, the executive indicated that the company was “seriously debating” hiring software engineers in 2025, citing “incredible productivity gains” from agentic AIs.

As it now seems, medicine could be on AI‘s chopping block. This is after Microsoft recently claimed that its new powerful AI-powered tool can diagnose diseases up to four times more accurately than a human doctor (via WIRED).

    • I have been using 4 different AI programs for the last several months. Often, I ask it a questions that I know somewhat about what the answer should be, a few times they have given me “media head line answers” and tell them to “got back into the weeds” and find a more correct answer and all have done that and some up with a more correct answer. These things are suppose to be self learning, so I hope that as I challenge the “fluff ” they are putting out that they will add the info to be used in future questioning. I remember one of Professors at Butler the last year telling the class, don’t worry about all the things that we forced you to memorize, we were just teaching you on how to do research to get your answer, things will change over the years of your career. I know that if I furnish a practitioner some information about some health issues that I am dealing with and they dismiss the answers I get from AI – that is when I will be looking for a new practitioner, because my practitioner is very closed minded.
