Here is how Walgreen “protects” their employees & customers

Walgreens fires a Pharmacist for defending himself, after armed masked robber tried to shoot him. At first they praised the Pharmacist, then turned around and fired him. The above statement clearly states that they are more interested in APPREHENDING a robber after the fact than preventing a robbery in the first place.
Like those that defend the death penalty/capital punishment will discourage “bad guys” from killing people and the DEA believes that arresting people will discourage future drug abuse/misuse. We have had capital punishment since our country was founded and the war on drugs has been going on for 100 yrs+.
Fear of our judicial doesn’t seem to discourage all that many.
Robberies of Pharmacies are going up dramatically.. the next time that you walk into a chain drug store… just remember… when you see all those video cameras… that is the only thing between you and being harmed my a robber.. they are not coming after the money.. they are coming after the drugs in the pharmacy.,0,3266165.story

“We’ve made significant investments in security technology in recent years, including increasing the number of digital surveillance cameras at our stores,” the company said. “We continue to invest in state-of-the-art security measures and high-definition surveillance equipment and hope that the apprehension of robbery suspects in the Benton Harbor area will prevent future crimes.”
