It’s OFFICIAL the VA has now fully tapered my dad. His last RX is coming and that’s the end. Their intentions were all along to kill my father, even after the family begging them not to take away his pain medication. It was the VA who put my father on the pain program now they are taking away their promise to treat him.
I hold the VA and the #opioidhysteria responsible for the extreme suffering my father is going through. I will be outside the VA center everyday in protest and will shame this facility for the entire Pensacola area to see!!!!!

When the VA started restricting pain medications years ago, they replaced them with anti psychotic medications, anti depressants and strong anti inflammatory drugs. As the adverse events became really obvious they lied about the effects of these drugs. The VA hired some really good Public Relations and propagandists, so that people would not know what they were doing.
They designed their Patient Satisfaction Surveys to hide what was really going on. The only thing those surveys are seeking is how “nice” the employees are. The surveys are used to Gas Light Veterans and the general public.
Back in 2011 the Military hired one of the Torture psychologists to create a “Resilience Campaign” and the suicides increased.
Just wondering if you can take your Dad to a private PM doctor or PCP? I know it would be out of pocket, but it doesn’t hurt to ask about self pay prices. Most doctors have lower prices for self pay. Just a thought that I hope will help him receive relief from his terrible chronic pain

What I find insane is that these docs are not having to explain why before guidelines their patients needed the meds and all of sudden after guidelines they cut these same patients off for no medical reasons. I am disappointed with the medical community that say they follow science. Yes the CDC, DEA, prop and others started this but if the medical community as a whole would have stood up and demand real science I don’t think we would be here. Im just so sick of policy makers and most medical community spewing lies to further the antiopiate agenda. The data shows loud and clear and illegal street drugs only are what cause crisis. We hear well known cancer hospitals putting out articles on how terminal patients no longer need pain meds!!! Yet limits, guidelines don’t apply to them! Where dose it stop!
My opinion of the medical community has taken an abrupt plunge into the abyss since this has began. Even the doctors in Oregon apparently have no problem having their medical decisions completely superseded by a bunch of acupuncturists, chiropractors, & other “alternative providers.” That is what the task farce consists of that is about to pass the most draconian ban on opioids in the country; forced to zero for all CPPs, no matter what the condition, history, how well they were doing on the meds, how well documented your compliance…zip. And the doctors apparently are reacting like Barney: “Duuyuhhh…that’s great boys and girls!”
The VA took my meds I needed to eat. I went from 175 to 120lb. They put me in the hospital to help me. They refused all food and water and said all that they would or could do is put in feeding tubes. I left the hospital and was thinking of suicide I found a doctor that gave me back some of my meds I’m back to 160 with no health problems except for some dehydration. Hopefully the doctor will give me some more meds that will help me. I don’t know anyone that will go to the VA for pain. I was on the meds for over 20 years. The government needs to realize all the drugs that are causing the problems are being smuggled in. Please check all the numbers not giving the seniors the meds they need are causing suicide among the seniors.
We have to stop pretending that in this day and age ONLY a medical doctor has any say about how basic conditions are treated. We must be allowed to treat ourselves for anything and everything in fact.

As far as the VA they know if your in extreme pain you’ll go to street pills or heroin probably die of a overdose then they get rid of you. Less work for them less disability payments win win for the VA
Like Alex states, this is not just happening in the VA, it is a NATIONWIDE crisis of innocent law abiding chronically ill CITIZENS/VETS that are being abandoned by our drs, having our lifesaving pain medication either lowered to ineffective doses or abruptly cut off leaving us in agony until #SuicideDueToPain is our only option. Thousands of pain pts NATIONWIDE have turned to the streets for relief or worse #SuicideDueToPain. The corrupt lawmakers DEA CDC FDA PROP have put genocidal policies into effect that are killing off the disabled, pain pts who suffer from debilitating incurable diseases that cause severe pain, our Vets are being left in a torturous hell! I wonder if Legions and all Veterans from all services would gather in every country of all Nations for 10 minutes of absolute silience.
This includes everyone because all people, school children, governments need 5 minutes of absolute silence everywhere.There as we gift world silence I suggest we calm our minds.
Our world needs to embrace us as stewards of earth, air, wind and fire. Together we will change.
It is our time to act with Veterans to ensure world peace.

Unfortunately the one thing we can’t seem to convince shallow minded, and not so shallow minded, HEALTHY PEOPLE AND MOST DOCTORS and Health and Human Services, or the ACLU about “opioid crisis” is the SEVERE PAIN PART.
But great utility and profit and self-satisfaction has been found in the ‘all-in’ hatred of our only strong pain medicines for these and of this they ARE convinced.
It used to take years and years to overturn what became established law in America but now it is just a matter of hours by these beasts, infantile cowards and thieves miraculously holding what are in reality positions of privilege and great responsibility.
They will not congratulate themselves when this is done I AM CERTAIN. They will be looking for hiding placed and throwing their money at us to hide them from the Great Authority – just like the Bible says I am well convinced.
