  1. This is what the War on Drugs has reaped for us in terms of our 4th and 5th Amendment Constitutional Guarantees. The State was charged with protecting us against such notions as Civil Asset Forfeiture in those Amendments and yet here we are; the State is the Great Usurper once and again. Highway robbery is alive and well in the Amerika of 2015.

    I think the most sickening aspect of this is the fact that the SCOTUS could sit on their nine elevated thrones and with a straight face, rule that this policy is legal because the asset, i.e., the money, the house, the car, etc. was guilty of the crime of narcotics trafficking and not necessarily the individual in possession of the assets; it was not necessary to convict the individual of the crime in order to legally seize the asset. I cannot site chapter and verse, so if one is interested in confirming that I speak the truth, then I suggest using Google to locate the particulars of the ruling that I refer to.
