At CVS Health where “health is everything “

1-IMG_1884To the best of my knowledge, HOSPICE pts are exempt from any DEA oversight on controlled meds..  This was sent to CVS’ Face Book page.. A few prescribers have been successfully sued for failing to treat pain in end of life cancer pts.. they were not charged with malpractice but .. irresponsible professional negligence.  Is this just a lack of empathy or sympathy or another example of a healthcare DENIER…

  1. The Dea has every body up in arms scared shit to lose their jobs drs pharmacists it is a very disfunction al time right now and since they have changed laws on tramadol and vicodin it’s worse and this nj r thing we’re they look every thing up now it’s all about law and not a person’s well being they think they r doing making things better but they cause people to do just what they don’t want them to b cuz they have gotten so strict it’s a visions circle of nonsense I only hope that someone in the loop of all the lawmaking can see they r all screwed up lord help us all with our pain cuz the damn law or dea is not

  2. It is still up. It is under reviews for her pharmacy in GA. https://www.facebook.com/pages/CVS/145604832284739?sk=reviews

  3. Well CVS removed that post..

  4. CVS is just one of several pharmacies in our area who will not fill a prescription for Schedule II opiod pain meds until the VERY LAST DAY of the previous prescription. At that date, don’t be surprised if they don’t have your required meds in stock–that means another 3-4 days wait (you are now out of the required pain meds). Best advice I’ve received is to have the doc modify the prescription dosing instructions for more frequent intervals–this means that instead of having to wait 30 days for a new prescription, you can at least get CVS to fill before you are completely out of pain meds (assuming you didn’t take all of them on the more frequent interval schedule).

  5. NOT only is the DEA out of control in Florida, so is CVS. Denying many patients refills on their prescriptions for PAIN MEDS. It’s NOT just cancer patients, it’s also happening to MANY patients with chronic illnesses! It’s INHUMANE.

  6. Apparenly another pharm-diety on top of things for corporate at his job
