I am sure that Eric Cropp can take great comfort in this statement. You see, Eric was the Pharmacist on duty that day, when a lot of things were not going well, computer down, orders coming out late and piling up… As for not blaming any one person… Eric got his licensed revoked, convicted of manslaughter and was sentenced to six months in prison…
No pointing fingers here or placing blame… here is the full story
Basically another story where Pharmacies are understaffed and/or staffed with poorly trained ancillary staff… and things happen that are out of your personal control… yet the people that we provide services/products to – in this case floor nurses – expect or demand things to happen as if everything is normal.
Expecting perfection out of imperfect humans … working in an environment that at times can be described as semi-organized chaos, could be described as irrational expectations. Eric’s and Emily’s family was destroyed by this incident and all the other players in management that had their “finger prints” all over the system that was the underlying cause… go on with life as usual.
