Hooded man robs Newport News Walgreens wearing medical mask

Newport News, Va. – Police say a bold crook walked into a Newport News Walgreens wearing a medical mask on his face, but he wasn’t protecting himself from germs.
On Monday, a man walked into the 12750 location, approached the pharmacist and demanded the drug Oxycodone while holding a knife.
The pharmacist gave the man the drugs, put them in a bag along with a pack of syringes.
Police say the drugs were valued at several thousand dollars.
Officials cannot confirm that the same person was involved in a Rite Aid robbery on the same day.

Excellent point by Gloria. If you were in excruciating pain and denied your legitimate pain prescriptions how far would you go to get relief? Haven’t robberies been accelerating with the “I don’t feel comfortable” attitude that started! More pain patients are having to look to the streets if they want any relief since Pharmacist are refusing to fill most of them now.
Maybe he is one of the many ppl in this country that can’t get his prescription filled so he resorted to robbery…..just sayin. That’s what this country has boiled down to!!!
But you are not looking at it from our Judicial system perspective.. the more legal drugs that get to the street.. the more job security they have.. from the cop on the street, the courts, private prisons, attorneys.. When it comes to their job security/quality of life and yours… guess who wins out
