  1. Insaids kill more people than opiates each year! This is legalized Mal-practice, discrimination, genocide, murder and violates our rights as human beings. We need a new plan to fight this, the calls, meetings and letters don’t seem to be doing anything. We need mainstream media to report on this, maybe we should picket their offices? I am not sure what the answer is but it just gets worse each day and people are losing hope. I never thought I would see this in America and (although my opinion of ANY politician is not high) this is NO way to make America great again! God help all of us!

  2. I guess these states find it cheaper to end up putting those patients on chronic dialysis as an alternative and kidney and liver transplants in the long run if they dont die from suicide or other reasons first than God forbid they become junkies, though they think they already are.. I have had chronic kidney stone disease since I was 16 I’m now 55. NSAIDS are now verboten by my doctors because I have stage 3 kidney disorder. Narcotics are my only Pain option. I pray indiana never does this or disallows specialists like urologists from prescribing and tries to send me to a pain doc who has no clue of urology.

  3. What about sickle cell patients for God’s sake?

  4. Join the club, Arkansas! Oregon is planning to ban ALL opioids for ALL pain patients, regardless of condition, no exceptions. There’s a hearing on thursday a bunch of us are going to, to protest, waste our time, increase our agony & also court heatstroke. I personally have absolutely no hope that even if 100,000 protestors showed up, that Oregon would alter its course. For the first go-round, they’re just torturing the poorest; medicaid patients & those on Oregon Health Plan (low income insurance), which would seem to compound the discrimination…but since we’re useless parasites who are much less worthy of a decent life than even heroin addicts, what’s the problem, right? What was the Nazi term….a dreg on the state?

I figured the states would start a competition to see who could prove they were toughest in the FIGHT AGAINST THE OPIOID EPIDEMIC!! PR Olympics.

But Oregon, in its infinite compassion, is going to urge patients into alternatives, such as “mindfulness,” “pain acceptance,” more exercise(!), aqua therapy, PT, & ‘non-trad’ things like chiropractic (which can seriously make backs worse), accupuncture, OTC NSAIDs & Tylenol, etc. They’re not gonna PAY for any of that expensive crap, of course (certainly not the gastric hemmorages or liver failure from those otc meds), but they’re ever so proud of themselves for offering alternatives. (my faves are “mindfulness” & “pain acceptance.” Remember when BS froufrou things like that were sneered at? (tho not so much so out here in the crystal-worshipping, woo-woo, New Age Capital of the hippies.

I’m so enraged about these morons & their asinine, false-based, extremist & devastatingly destructive policies I’m honestly starting to fear I’m losing my mind.

  5. Tolerance and metabolism means nothing. And because of that,
Patients who have Chronic Pain and have taken meds for sometimes decades won’t have a need for a higher dose that’s been stable for years?
I guess Politicians can feel the pain of each condition and they know what the patient needs.

So if that hydrocodone isn’t working for you after a few years, Thats too damn Bad. Plus you need that Tylenol or NSAID with it no matter how your liver, stomach or heart is doing.
I wonder what real pain experts think about this?
