The terrorist among us ?

This showed up on another FB chronic painer page… and as a society, we are very concerned about how we treat captured terrorists that are trying to kill us..  Sounds like the “real terrorists” are on the Federal Payroll !

I am so dam furios I cant live like this anymore! I suffer from debilitating conditions that started when I did what the medical doctors told me to do in 2008. I had two failed spinal fusions.Since I wasnt the walking success story, my surgeon turned hus back on me as if I were lying about my pain. He told me to seek pain mgmt. What a joke, I have been with the same doctor for five years now, Prior to him I was with the rudest sob on the planet and could not take his harrassment. Trying to even find a doctor to take over my care at the time made me want to end my life. Not only do I have the failed fusions, but severe nerve damage down my legs into my feet, three hern. discs, fibro, severe stenosis, arthritis, migraines. When I started with the dr I am with, he immediately cut back the dose I was on at the time. I was on oxycontin 60mg every 12 hrs, oxycodone 30mg every four hours and one soma at night, He told me he couldnt do the every four hrs on the oxycodone, had to be every six. At the time, I had lost all hope as I called all over NJ and was treated like a dam pill seeking addict. regardless of all the debilitating conditions I have, So I agreed and put myself on a schedule to take it at 6am, 10,2 and 6pm so I was able to get thru the day. Im a single mom on perm. disability and I needed to at least have my pain managed thru the day. I would take soma at night and it helped to ease the tension all over my body and helped me to sleep. Please know opiod therapy was my last resort, I tried many other alternatives, surgery, epidurals, years of PT, massage, chiro, tens, all kinds of med and muscke relaxers, Nothing worked. When I was on the correct dose I had a quality of life, never pain free but it was managed and I was able to do simple things many take for granted like showering daily, cooking, food shopping., Then out of the blue my soma was taken away. I was told it was moved into a different schedule and I could not have it with the other two meds. So there went my sleep. That was about a year ago, My dr gave me zanaflex which does nothing at all. Then about seven mo ths ago, my quality of life was taken from me. The oxycodone was lowered to 20mgs and it does not even touch the pain. After being on the same dose since 2008, and it worked, I now suffer in excruciating pain. My doctor continues to push all kinds of meds each month. “here try this, here try that” I tell him i cant afford to waste money on meds that do not work! He also told me he had to cut all his patients, which is a bug fat lie as i know someone who sees him and none of her meds were cut back. He put me on lyrica, then told me to try the fentanyl pops which cost $125, and there were many others that do not help my pain. I have no life. My body has had enough and it infuriates me what is happening to the chronically ill. How is this legal!? How are the DEA, CDC and our terroristic government allowed to be involved in my treatment!?!? Why am I paying the price with my health and well being because of the addicts/abusers!?!?. I know if I confront my lying ass dr of what I know, i fear he will discharge me and say he cant help me no more. Because of this nightmare, i now suffer from severe anxiety attacks and had to see a psychologist for the first time in my life. I follow the rules,I dont get high from these meds, I got relief, I never failed a urine test either, but yet the chronically ill pain patients are being discriminated, neglected, under treated, mistreated, and there is no help for us out there! Doctors are turning their backs on us!! I want to know how I go about suing the dea, CDc and our government for the unneccessary, intentional, inhumane, barbaric pain and suffering they are causing me and my kids, What happend to do no harm!?!? Why is saving an addicts life more important then the lives of legit chronic pain sufferers!?!? They are causing legit patients to turn to the streets for relief or worse, killing themselves, but then when that happens, the overdose is looked at as an addict, not as so eone who could no longer take the pain. I cant afford to even go back to the therapist. My meds went from $100 for all three, if that, to now hundreds of dollars, and. rather then three diffrnt pill bottles, I now have at least eight. I am so fed up,The chronic pain community needs to ban together and start some protesting, or something, We cannot let our government taje our quality of lives away. Sad thing though, many of us are disabled and cant even make it to a protest. I did contact a few lawyers here in NJ, but noone will help me. What can I do!?!? I dont know how much more I can live like this. I feel like ive been dumped in a nazi concentration camp left to die a slow painful death. The CDC, DEA and those running this country can stick their regulations where the sun dont shine. I beg God to take me every day, I know my kids need me, and I need them. They are all I have, but what good am I to them if I cant even plant my feet on the ground!!!

  1. Im sorry, I didn’t know there was a response to my story. Why woukd you tell me to seek counseling? My pain is not in my head,as far as the lyrica goes, i have it but dont take it. When I was taking it I kept getting these brain zap sensations. It scared me. and really wasn’t helping. My dr acts as if it’s this miracle drug. And trust me I know I can’t let my true emotions come out in front of him, which is bullshit…There are way to many legit people who are having their meds taken away, or lowered to ineffective doses. I thought in this country we all had the right to ease our suffering, to have a quality of life, Thos rights are being stomped on by those who think that just because of the title after their name they get to dictate to the ones who are enduring pain so bad they want to die. I am in many chronic pain support groups and people are very angry and someone or a group of someones are going to be pushed to far, and those responsible for FORCING US TO SUFFER bette start saying their prayers and beging god for forgiveness. for the intentional harm, pain and suffering they have done to innocent people who are chronically ill with debilitating conditions there is no cure for. I look forward to the day all the thousands upon thousands of chronic pain sufferers ban together as one and fight back. Hell, my dog gets better treatment from her vet, the vet drs seem to know a hell of alot more about pain and treating it than the pain doctors we are FORCED to see..

  2. You need to seek counseling and with their help maybe they can help you get the care that you need. Do you have a PCP doctor? The CDC is trying to get people off of narcotics and on other types of medications and you have to play the game and prove to your doctor’s they don’t work or better yet you are having adverse reactions to those drugs until the only thing left is the drugs you were once on. Lyrica made my feet and hands swell up at night and I couldn’t take it. Cymbalta gave me migraines, so did Zoloft. A number of muscle relaxants gave me really bad depression. So, my pain management doctor put me on Exalgo, time released. I have had neck fusion, back surgery and arthritis in my spine. I also have DDD, plus the migraines and fibromyalgia. When I take narcotics it gives me really bad insomnia, so I really can’t take them. However, toradol, an anti-inflammatory drug does wonder for pain, but hard on the kidneys and only usually given by IV or shots. If you take the pills it’s a short course because it will destroy your gut.

Good luck, try to work the best you can with the system, getting angry with your doctor’s in front of him or her will not help you, but make you look like you are drug seeking. Look for a new pain management doctor, and look for a new surgeon for your back, a neurosurgeon, not an orthopedic.
