Why limited enforcement ?

Rite Aid pays nearly $500,000 in pharmacy consultation lawsuit

From the article:

Alameda County District Attorney Nancy E. O’Malley announced this week that the Office’s Consumer and Environmental Protection Division, along with Riverside and San Diego District Attorneys’ Offices and the California State Board of Pharmacy, has settled a $498,250 lawsuit against the owners of the Rite Aid pharmacy chain in California.

Does this mean that only the BOP and the DA’s in these three California’s counties care about patient safety and following the practice act ? what about the pts in the rest of California ?

And what about the other 49 states… we know how often RPH/pt interaction happens in the typical chain drug stores .. particularly consulting on new Rxs

  1. […] Rite Aid was fined last year nearly 500,000 for their Pharmacists failing to counsel and follow this law .. in just THREE CALIFORNIA COUNTIES    Why limited enforcement ? […]

  2. This is great. I was never asked about questions WHEN I could get prescriptions filled. The same ones Caremark is filing. So why care about spending money locally.
