Despite Washington spending $7.6 billion on counter-narcotic initiatives in Afghanistan, 2013 witnessed a record surge in the amount of opium poppy cultivation, according to the US inspector general for Afghan reconstruction.

Battle-hardened Afghanistan produces more than 80 percent of the world’s opium.

Guess where Heroin comes from ?

  1. It’s obvious the USA is extremely wrapped up in a tight ball with all this opium production. They are ensuring the DEA a forever job! When this stuff really increases coming into the USA, only then will they get off doctor asses for helping sick, disabled peoples. Besides that, the government is using this FAKE prescription epidemic as front! So the heroin can come in and get everyone hooked! It surely seems there is a master plan behind Afgan opium poppies and why the US gave them deep wells to water them with! They want the opium to come to America so the DEA can get even richer! After all the DEA gets to keep all money and possessions they seize and probably share that money with all the politicians. They will get richer and sick and in pain die off! Yet our national debt is getting astronomical! Does this make since? Of course it does, the government is crime at it finest! Remember the Ollie North scandal?

    • Actually its the Talibans source.of income
.supposedly one of our jobs over there was to discourage poppy production and encourage otjer ag.products..I think the.problem was the ag products we thought they should grounding do well in that environment and it was food they didnt necessarily eat. I think I read soybeans was one of them. The farmers didnt want to change.crops.also Maliki (sp? ), brother was big into production of it.creating political.problems.
