Former (disgruntled) employee causes licensing board investigation

Apparently Dr Ibsen turned over 3600 pages of evidence for this hearing

Apparently the compliance specialist wasn’t happy or didn’t want to deal with all those records… so apparently “pulled out” 800 pages that would prove the Medical Licensing Board’s case against Dr Ibsen.. Are we playing WHEEL OF FORTUNE here.. show certain parts of the larger picture and you are expected to GUESS WHAT THE WHOLE PICTURE IS ?

I am not sure if this licensing board is just lazy, incompetent or just figured they could use “smoke & mirrors” to prove their point… Needless say, besides Dr Ibsen’s livelihood… there could be very serious consequences for all the chronic pain pts that could no longer have a healthcare professional to take care of their chronic pain.offtherails

Is this just another example of our war on drugs/patients going off the rails ?

  1. Great info Steve. Before we know it we’ll be locked up for our own prescription while the DEA allows the drug dealers to continue their sells on every street corner in America!

  2. If a typical dose of oxycodone is 5mg why are there strengths ranging from 2,5-80mg? And 3,000 pills over two months for a pain clinic? That doesn’t sound like very much to get excited about.
Patients overly friendly? With good reason I’m sure. My guess is if they said nothing and put their head down they would be accused of meeting some other stereotype indicating suspicion. You can’t win.
Anxious? Probably in withdrawal after being made to wait 3-4 days for their Rx.

This is no longer a question of battling an ‘epidemic’, this much is clear. With up-scheduling hydrocodone, pill mill bills, REMS, and PDMPs, there are more than enough safeguards in place to keep these pills away from addicts. This is now obviously a war on a population, our most vulnerable citizens and anyone who will help them, our disabled. The DEA and the DOJ doesn’t give two s**** about addicts OR veterans OR the disabled.
Speaking about seeing the larger picture, lets not look at the Drug War in a vacuum here. The ‘War on Drugs’ is but a small piece of a much bigger picture.
A picture of a government power grab gone mad. Our constitution is under assault, the Bill of Rights specifically, from many different directions, all to protect us mind you. You give an inch and they take a mile.
Fascism has descended on America my friends. You still buy the propaganda about us spreading freedom and democracy around the world? Coincidence that the Taliban banned opium production but it is now widely cultivated all over Afghanistan? Hmmmm. And consider how you would feel if you saw German/Chinese/Russian planes flying over OUR country. Do you think our government would appreciate aircraft carriers positioned off North Carolina or California? I think not.
Have a look-see at an illegal ‘immigration checkpoint’ located 30 miles INSIDE the US border. Notice there is absolutely no probable cause or suspicion given when Federal Agents asked to search these citizen’s vehicles. Do 4th amendment rights ring a bell? Why are you asking to search my car asks on motorist. Border Patrol agent mumbles “It was dirty”. WTH?
Buckle up, its going to get alot worse before (IF) it gets better.

  3. The problem is that they’ve already decided he’s guilty, so why pull all the evidence?
I hope he has a great attorney who has ALL of the documents in question.

  4. My guess is the states compliance officer would find the truth and they’d have to admit they were wrong, when 99% of these cases you are already considered guilty and this is a formality.

  5. What is the problem with looking at the whole picture. How can they decided statistics without the records. Hoping he has a good attorney.
