Accused Pharmacy Robber Says He Was In Pain And Needed Medication

http://www.kktv.com/news/headlines/Arrest-Papers-Accused-Pharmacy-Robber-Says-He-Was-In-Pain-And-Needed-Medication-255864061.html

From the article:

he told police he was in pain and needed medication, but couldn’t get in to see a doctor to get a prescription.

Pollette, 55, then allegedly took matters into his own hands. Armed with a gun, police say Pollette went to the Medicine Shoppe on North Union and fired a bullet into the ceiling. Employees fled out the back of the store as officers swarmed the scene.

Victims told police later that the suspect seemed very agitated, and threatened them before firing shots–something Pollette denies.

Was this person in elevate pain and withdrawal because of some issue about getting an appointment or paying for an appointment.. or is this just another issue with someone abusing some substance and became desperate to continue his self-medicating the monkeys on his back or demons in his head.

You know our system is suppose to take care of anyone who goes to a ER.. but.. since it is illegal to “support a habit” .. did he go to the local hospital and was turned away.. because he was considered a “drug seeker”

We already loss one RPH his week..

“Death by drug” the DEA won’t count ?

from someone seeking opiates.. I am sure that everyone is glad that his was just a “close call”

  1. Sorry, I have no sympathy here. I think he should also be charged with attempted murder. If I need money, that does not mean I can rob a bank. If he did go to the ER, he would probably get tramadol or ibuprofen at the very least. It was fortunate that no one was hurt,
