    From the article:
” But in their capacity to track employee performance, to speed it up, to measure it against targets, managers at Walmart and Amazon are empowered in ways that their predecessors of a century ago could only dream of.”

You can replace ” Walmart and Amazon” with any big heartless corporation. Sadly, we have become “piece workers”. Would like to hear from the newer grads who went into retail with high hopes. Do they measure their personal and professional worth by the KPMs?

  2. Not a CVS pharmacist but might as well be. Truth in advertising would have this letter be much shorter. Something like this.

“Well, if you made it past the logo and are actually reading this, you must be desperate for some work. We’re hiring. Leave your soul and ethics at home.”

  3. Do not believe their lies! The environment is not friendly or collaborative. You may start as a pharmacist that is passionate about patient care – but they will soon suck that right out of you. This is actually the same district that I came out of. In my 2 years there, I had 5 different pharmacy supervisors. None of them cared about their pharmacists or the patients – only the stats.
