This showed up in my inbox today… it is from a former CVS prn floater…  you can read it and come to your on conclusions …

I received a letter from the pharmacy supervisor that was postmarked on September 24 on September 28, 2013 to reply within 72 hours or it would be voluntary resignation since he has been unable to reach me. The last correspondence I received prior to this letter was on September 18 (6 days prior to this letter being sent out) via email. I requested to cover a shift on 10/5, but scheduler told me she would keep me posted and pharmacy supervisor notified me that no shifts are available. I have no record of the pharmacy supervisor contacting me via this email nor phone number since September 18 prior to receiving this letter.

On September 30, I sent a certified letter and email to the pharmacy supervisor rebutting his statement. He called me and left a message. I called him 9 minutes later and left a voicemail. On October 1, he called me and left a message, but I was working in the hospital. He then sent me an email stating that I was terminated for not being able to work to the needs of the district and he was unable to contact me as of September 30. It is after termination that he notifies me that he requires 3 days of working for CVS. He notified me that he is putting the termination as job abandonment.

When I called the 1888-myhrcvs on Oct 1, I was told to speak to my manager and that there was no HR policy on termination. Per CVS HR (1-888-MYHRCVS) on 10/2/2013, my termination was processed on 09/23/2013, which is prior to the letter being sent to me. This termination was updated in the system on 10/1. Per pharmacy supervisor, he is stating that it is job abandonment on October 1 via email, which is untrue, could affect any future potential employment if CVS is used as a reference and affect the possibility of being rehired by CVS. I had contacted HR representative on Oct 3. With no response, I emailed them again to follow up on a response on October 9. I emailed district manager on October 15 with no response for the HR representatives. On October 21, I was notified by HR representative that my termination date has been changed to September 30 and reason of termination is elimination of position based on her email with pharmacy supervisor that was attached on changing the details of my termination.
The correspondence I received from CVS was that my benefits were terminated on September 22 (which is 2 days before the supervisor sent me the letter)

I’ve been a pharmacist with the company for 3 years and an intern for 2 summers. I’ve always been reliable and have always covered shifts when I can for the past 3 years. I use my languages to help patients since I’m fluent in 4 languages.

A scheduler I know from another district told me that they were instructed not to give me any shifts because the supervisor was waiting for me to get kicked out of the system for not working a shift in 3 months. This has occurred with another pharmacist in the district as well. He told me since it was initially marked as job abandonment, his pharmacy supervisor could not rehire me. He’s working on getting the pharmacy supervisor to rehire me for that district. It’s been two weeks, but I haven’t heard about any interview.
