Is it illegal if you don’t get caught?

This was posted on another blog…

The same thing happened to me when I worked for Coram Home Infusion in St Rose, LA. I was let go after I complained to the board of pharmacy about Coram using tainted meds for patient home infusion after hurricane Issac.

They insisted we use meds that were stored in a hot, humid, mold infested room for 5 days for patient use and I refused. They did it anyway and I reported it to the LA Board of Pharmacy. Shortly afterwards I was “let go”

Hurricaine Issac was in Aug 2012… a few months before the NECC outbreak..  Do we know that if the LA BOP did anything? Where these products adulterated  drugs by definition .. being that far removed from proper storage? Is selling adulterated drugs to Medicare/Medicaid and other insurance companies – FRAUD?

I am not an attorney.. but … it would seem that there are two issues here… wrongful discharge… it is against the law – regardless of  “any willing ” state statue AND.. there could be a substantial whistler blower case here.

I don’t have this RPh’s email… but.. I have his name… but.. since the state in which this incident happened.. it should not be hard to find a name .. address.. phone number..
