More pharmacy schools raise quality concerns

This article is almost two years old… and a quote from the article:

Pharmacy school tuition can cost anywhere from $100,000 to $350,000 depending on the program.

When Concordia University in Wisconsin announced its intention to open a School of Pharmacy in 2010, for example, Curt Gielow, the new school’s executive dean, told Inside Higher Ed: “Pharmacy schools, unlike other schools, make money. The demand is high enough and the tuition is high enough. It’s a business decision.”

Some people consider DEBT as a form of slavery… and the primary focus on ANY BUSINESS is to make money…but.. when you combine a “business entity”… that pays no taxes… and regularly solicits donations from its alumni… to help fund the over all operation… normally you are told that tuition doesn’t pay the cost of providing the education.. apparently.. with some colleges… that appears to be not all of the truth.

Aren’t you glad that the cost of your education… and the amount that you were charged… was just based on a business decision?
