  1. I TOTALLY AGREE WITH AND!!! I WOULD BE HAPPY TO DONATE IF RED, STEVE AND DR. KLINE WERE WILLING AND ABLE TO PARTICIPATE!

ANOTHER THING, WHERE IS CINDY GETTING HER FIGURE OF ONLY 50 MILLION CHRONIC & 20 MILLION INTRACTABLE??? IT’S MORE LIKE 100 MILLION CHRONIC & 26 MILLION INTRACTABLE PAIN PATIENTS.

  2. We have 3 issues that MUST be communicated to Congress. 2 are Big Fat Lies that Congress is still laboring under from when Andrew Kolodny testified several years ago.

#1) Kolodny: ” ALL Opioids are little heroin pills that make addicts out of everyone.”

REBUTTAL: The Cochrane Report and other studies state that ” Less than one half of 1 per cent of people with moderate to severe pain ever become addicted to opioids period!” We don’t get High, because our brains neutralize the Dopamine which is the feel-good chemical producing the euphoria cravings and addiction!

#2) Kolodny: ” Opioids are not effective for chronic pain.”

REBUTTAL: Study was flawed because it was done on back pain only. (See my extended explanation below).

#3) IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT BEST PAIN PRACTICES CONGRESS ADOPTS—UNTIL THEY GET GOVERNMENT (DEA, DOJ, CDC) OUT OF HEALTHCARE & THE DR./PATIENT RELATIONSHIP AND STOP SUING PHYSICICIANS AND LIMITING THE PRODUCTION OF OPIOIDS—-WE CAN’T FIND A DOCTOR TO PRESCRIBE OR PHARMACIES THAT STOCK OUR MEDS!

Explanation of back pain: This is the most common complaint. Back pain is comprised of different types of pain (muscle, nerve, inflammatory, etc.). Physicicians usually break pain into 2 types (nociceptive & neuropathy–nerve). We have many different opioid receptors in our brain, (mu, NMDA, etc.). Opioids don’t work on all of our pain receptors, therefore back pain is not always relieved!

If every pain patient could write down these 3 issues and educate the major media, general public and Congress, we would destroy the lies that are being pushed down our throats!

  3. Stuff was missing – talk about those letters that the Attorneys General from various States sent to the prescribers that happened to be among the higher volume prescribers in their pain clinics.
The letters that threatened them with potential criminal prosecution and jail time if they consider the needs of their patients, perhaps in contravention to the established random and unscientific guidelines fostered upon them by the colleagues of the committee members themselves.
Comes Under The Heading of intimidation by DEA and CDC and other bureaucracies trying to protect their stake in the so-called crisis. Also under undo interference to access to legally prescribed pain medications.

I’m thinking it would be worthwhile to raise some funding within our own group to send some of the pro speakers and writers that we hear from almost daily Within These pages. People like Pharmacist Steve and Red Lawhern and Pat Anson and Mark Isben and Dr Kline and Dr. Hart, Lightning, those many excellent contributing editors at PNN, NPR, others and my favorites that I am forgetting at this moment, who would be able to deliver a Consolidated and hard-hitting narrative that the lawmakers would not fall asleep to!

  4. Thank you!
