  1. Dare I say, starting January 31 Oregon will have on record the highest suicide rate in the US. They better keep track, as it will definitely be a direct result of being tapered down and off narcotic pain meds and the unrelenting suffering (and suicide) that will ensue. However, bettcha the dips (Govt, DEA, PROP, pharmacies, insurance, etc.) will call it depression, anxiety and/or mental illness (serious diagnoses on their own) and wonder why on earth there’s such a surge. Idiots!

We all see what’s been happening since the 2016 CDC Guidelines and things will soon get worse than ever in Oregon come Jan. WHEN WILL THIS TRAVESTY STOP & pain patients treated appropriately w/the narcotic pain meds they deserve? They are PAIN PATIENTS whose lives have been so severely & negatively affected by their chronic pain they will opt for SUICIDE, because with severe, unrelenting pain there are no longer any other options. Oops forgot, there’s always that illegal, street heroin w/fentanyl added for an extra kick (til you’re dead)! Sick and disturbing is our government.

  2. “Unintended victims”?????? My pain management doctor ATTENDED a mandatory meeting concerning the CDC “guideline”. The “speakers” were NOT doctors!! It was DEA agents and he along with other opiate prescribing physicians were TOLD to not prescribe over 90 milligrams of “morphine equivalent” to ANY patient….period. The consequences of doing so would mean state (DEA) reciprocation in the form of license forfeiture or at least license suspension. They are in fear of losing their livelihood exactly as the “guideline” IS causing the patient to lose everything, including our livelihood in many cases. DEA is “in charge”!!!

    • Hayden; I totally understand your outragbe (the “unintended consequences” phrase always gets me frothing at the mouth), but at this point, 90 MME

    • Hayden: I totally understand your outrage: the phrase “unintended consequences” always gets me frothing at the mouth. But in good ole Oregon, even being able to get 90 MME would be a major thrill; the Oregon Idiots are determined that we all must go to zero. Oregon is going to be very happy to have so many of its “unproductives kill themselves off & save all that money…& they’ll get to blame it on the victims, saying they were so severely addicted they chose to die rather than get their “fix,” rather than the truth, which is that we can’t tolerate living in untreated pain. But I’m sure they’ll make it easy for us: it’s the Death With Dignity state, after all. they’re just changing that slogan to a directive.

      • I really did not believe that the situation for PMP’s could possibly get worse with 90mme max but, I am evidently wrong. Oregon healthcare officials have obviously decided to rid their state of “imperfect” people. If total denial of opiate/opioid medication is totally denied, I can not understand why this would not be a criminal act of the states governing body for non cancer pain management care.
