Compounding Pharmacies Focus of All Day Hearing

From the article:

Heads of state boards of pharmacy — who oversee compounding pharmacies — told the FDA they need better communication with the federal agency and greater clarity in certain areas to understand what aspects they’re responsible for and what the FDA controls.

Who would believe that a bureaucrat would blame the reason for a problem on a lack of or bad communication?

Where has the NABP been.. they only have a 25 million dollar budget and sit on 28 million dollar investment portfolio, per the annual report http://www.nabp.net/assets/2012%20Report%20of%20the%20Treasurer.pdf

Is our entire system just dis-functional or just not capable of meeting their basic charge?

IMO.. if this system is going to meet their charge of protecting the public’s health & safety.. something has got to change… at this point in time.. would it be better just to start over with a “clean slate” ?
