Jeffrey Bado, D.O.Travesty of Justice: Jeffrey Bado, DO

Jeffrey Bado, DO, of Philadelphia, PA was found guilty of 304 charges involving his pain management clinic. All of these charges are examples of government overreach into doctors’ legitimate medical practices.  THIS HAS TO BE STOPPED!!!

In the Eastern District of Pennsylvania this illegal prosecution of doctors has become Big Business. It supports a multitude of US Attorneys and all their employees. It supports DEA agents and Department of Health and Human Services agents. In just the research I’ve done from 2004 to 2011, 24 doctors had been prosecuted by the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, half of which were in Philadelphia. Now really! Even by simple statistical probability, you are not going to have that many “bad doctors” in one area. Doesn’t that tell you something? I doubt if there has even been one bad doctor. This is just a case of an out-of-control Department of Justice.

The rule is, in these areas that are supporting their jobs and their agencies by illegal prosecutions of doctors, that as soon as one doctor is convicted or takes a plea, they put a target on another doctor’s back. You see, jobs are secured for 2 years from the targeting to the raid on the office, then another two years to the trial. All of this is simply FOR THE MONEY!!! And because US Attorneys have immunity, they are now simply going to where the money is. They fabricate a crime where there is no crime, and people believe it, because there USED to be some integrity in our government. But not anymore.  Sidney Powell’s book Licensed To Lie is a perfect example of how prosecutors work now. This has become the norm, not the exception. And the rise to power and politics of these most unscrupulous US Attorneys shows that there are no ramifications for government agents who break the law.

And then there is the confiscation of the doctor’s assets. This is a major reason why doctors are being illegally prosecuted today. The charge of “maintaining a drug-involved premises” gives the government the right to confiscate his office, and any other items of value that he owns. The government is making money on the backs of hard-working, caring physicians.

In order to charge these doctors with committing a crime, the prosecutors have to reconstruct the Controlled Substance Act into language to make it work. This is just want the prosecutors did in Licensed to Lie—create a law where there isn’t one by restructuring the wording in statutes.

In the original Title 21 Law, doctors are exempt from prosecution. Here is the exact wording:
§1306.04 Purpose of issue of prescription
(a) A prescription for a controlled substance to be effective must be issued for a legitimate medical purpose by an individual practitioner acting in the usual course of his professional practice.

Now what the legislators meant here when they wrote that, as stated by a US Supreme Court Justice, is that as long as the doctor isn’t out on the street selling prescriptions, he/she is protected from prosecution. But because this has become big business, and the doctors in the country are completely unaware that they could just as easily become the next target, the prosecutors are riding the gravy train.  They just use terms in front of the jury like “just like a street pusher”, and other inflammatory terms to make the doctor’s actions fit the purported crime he/she is being charged with. In reality, if a person comes in to a doctor’s office as a patient, is seen and evaluated by the doctor, and receives a prescription, it is legitimate medical practice. The prosecution, though, just throws out that phrase completely disregarding its meaning, and creates a “crime” where there isn’t a crime.

As I have been working for the last year trying to educate people into this illegal restructuring of law, I was hoping to see a shift with Dr. Bado’s case. I am very disappointed it didn’t happen. But I also fault the defense attorneys. I was available to be a witness at Dr. Bado’s trial and could have informed the jury of the truth. But defense attorneys are in cahoots with the government. Everybody in the legal profession wins with creating crimes that aren’t crimes, because innocent people have to then be defended. No one in the legal profession wants to stop the gravy train. So the defense attorneys didn’t even approach me for my testimony.

So the only way we are going to change this is for the American people to wake up and realize that our Justice Department is no longer that. It is now the Injustice Department of Greed and Self-promotion.

I also wonder one more thing, because it happened to me before my trial. Did the CBS affiliate in Philly run any documentaries just before Dr. Bado’s trial, or during it, in which doctors were blamed for the heroin epidemic?  It is my belief from all of the media coverage that I’ve seen, that CBS does this, possibly connected in some way to sway public opinion. I believe a connection between CBS and the government needs to be investigated.

In conclusion, but probably the most important, neither doctors nor the prescribing of opiates is the cause of addiction. The REAL cause of addiction is identified in my DVD: The REAL Cause of Drug Abuse that can be found on my website at http://www.sevenpillarstotalhealth.com/our-products/#!/The-REAL-Cause-of-Drug-Abuse/p/68564073/category=20493001.  If doctors being tried would just understand this and pass it on to their friends and family, maybe this illegal persecution of doctors would stop. Chronic pain patients would get the medicines they need desperately and are now being deprived of, and people could easily treat or prevent drug abuse, saving themselves from a life of depravity.

  1. Dr. Bado saved 3 of my fingers from being amputated. The fingers were necrotic from Raynaud’s Phenomenon (part of Scleroderma), and other doctors refused to treat me, because I didn’t have health insurance to pay some fancy specialist. Under his care, all 3 fingers healed, with only a tiny portion of tissue lost at the tips. He also helped me get onto Disability, so that I could stop being exposed to cold temperatures and banging my damaged fingers on a keyboard 8 hours a day. Without him, I would have lost all my fingers by now. When I got insurance, I began seeing another doctor, and I actually just looked up Dr. Bado today, because my current doctor’s idea of helping me find the right specialist is to “Google” the name of the specialty. I was hoping to find out if Dr. Bado was taking patients with my current insurance, and I’m shocked to learn what has happened to him. I just want him and his loved ones to know that there are patients out there whose lives are better today,. because of him.

  2. This is the kind of doctor we need to keep.

  3. Very interesting insights ladies! I have been a patient of Doctor Bado since I was 12 years old! (That’s over 25 years!) He is an amazing doctor and and amazing man. He alone diagnosed my lymes when no one else could. He alone saved my life in 2001 when a prominent local hospital sent me home with nothing but pain killers and misdiagnosed a life threatening blood clot that ran from my ankle to my abdomen! He alone saved my life a second time when a second hospital failed to treat me properly in 2003 (6 days after the birth of my son) and the blood clotting returned, breaking in HUNDREDS of small clots and covered both lungs! He alone made sure that my second child was born without complication! I vividly remember sitting in his office in 2016 a few weeks before the birth of my second shaking and crying in fear. He stopped my exam, held my hands and prayed with me. We spent about 40 minutes in that exam room even though there were other patients waiting. He alone diagnosed my fibromyalgia and connective tissue pain issues. He alone gave me back my life. When I was in so much pain and so exhausted from it that I could barely get up to take care of my own children, he alone prescribed medication that eased my pain so that I could live life again. When his office transitioned to pain management I still had to follow the same rules as everyone else even though I had been a lifelong patient. I had to take a urine screening at every visit before I was able to see the doctor. I signed a pain medication and pharmacy contract. I never felt rushed. I never felt like he was pushing medication on me. In fact, he repeatedly was looking for alternative therapies to help with my pain. I witnessed multiple patients being discharged from the office for not complying with the rules. When the insurance companies began restricting what care he could offer his patients and he became a cash practice I still decided to go because I couldn’t find the same level of care anywhere. We submitted bills on our own to insurance and received what refunds we could. When we were facing foreclosure of our home and struggling financially Doctor Bado put me on what he termed a “sabbatical”, meaning he took ZERO money from me but continued seeing me! Who does that you ask? Certainly not a doctor who is only concerned with making money! He told me that my health was more important to him than his paycheck. In the 25 plus years as his patient I learned about the many missions trips that he went on, where he offered his medical knowledge to underprivileged or often times just helped rebuild communities. He is truly a selfless man. Always putting others first. Always researching and learning new techniques to fight pain. I am still in pain management. I am still taking opioid medication. I’m fortunate enough to be taking less right now, but not because of my doctors. Rather because I found a line of high quality, super vitamins that have allowed me to reduce my pain medication. Right around the time that I was looking info these vitamins doctor bado was posting an article in his online blog about the benefits of certain larger doses of vitamins to pain patients allowing them to reduce and eliminate some pain medication! So even after everything that was done, he was still researching and learning and trying to help people in pain! This man is NOT a criminal! The justice system is abusing their power, asking disgruntled patients that were discharged because of non compliance to “testify” (that’s their code for lie) against him. The only thing Doctor Bado is guilty of is working hard to improve the lives of his patients. I’m praying that he will appeal this decision and that the court will see the injustice that has been done against him. I don’t know who we can write to to help him, but I will certainly post here if I find out. I’m not sure when the sentencing hearing is, but I’ve asked his lawyer to let me know. I want to be there to show my support. I testified on his behalf and I really thought that the jury was seeing through the obvious overreach and lies of the prosecution, so to say that their decision shocked me is an understatement.
Please keep Doctor Bado in your prayers as well!

  4. I think the ,”magic ball,;”’ was just dropped,,,,this guy is a narc,,” based upon his personal beliefs,,,someone should check his bank accts…and see how if any ,”monies,” just appeared from the our tax dollars,,,,,jmo,,mary

    • Mary, he didn’t say anything that would point to his working for the government. His comments are completely standard for normal physicians. Instead of being ugly and calling him names, you should be educating him to the truth. Otherwise, you are pushing a potential ally to the dark side.

      • I respectfully disagree,,,,the same respect your giving this guy was/is not reciprocated to innocent doctors,,,If he is innocent of NOT being a narc,,,why no respond of ,,”I am not a narc,”’,,,even if he did,,,I wouldn’t believe it,but a little more credibility,,,,,toooooo many doctors in 1 area,,,also our doctors are not given your ideology,,,innocent until proven guilty,,as a matter a fact,as u know full well,,,,it is the completely opposite for our doctors,,,guilty until proven innocent,,Political correctness gets us no-where,,,but MORE innocent people lives extinguished,,,However the bases of my comments were,,,since no-one can physically feel the physical pain of another,,,why does he think he has the rite to decide who suffers in physical pain and who does not??maryw

        • He probably isn’t responding because he didn’t check the “notify me of new comments” box. He said his point and left the room. He probably doesn’t even know we are talking about him.

  5. Oh yes Mary I noticed them. Yes the comment is to interesting . Lol Just like magic.

  6. After reading my own post,,i just realized something,,,Doctors r humans,,thus can also be psychopaths’ themselves,,,,I mean lets just think for 1 moment,,sooo many doctors in 1 spot,,,,do u think someone is trying to get rid of competition, and or,,is a true psychopath,,and is forcing his warped delusion of grandeur onto a entire community of doctors by making anonymous phone calls to the dea?????just thinken out loud here,,,,,I think Dr.Cheeks research of soo many doc’s in 1 area need further research,,,but w/such a corrupted agency as the dea,,,or doj,,,they looked thee other way,,,because of the MONIES,, they have stolen from all these doctors, but Dr.Brado’s lawyer should look into this,,for his freedom,,,,,still no word from ”Gary” eh?? I mentioned a while back,,I use to be a wildlife rehabber,,well 1 year,,a bunch of rehabber who posted on line,, got visits from their local dnr agents,,,it turned out some psychopath was calling all these dnr agents claiming they were abusing animals,,,it wasn’t true,,but this women ended up in a psych hospital,,she thought all these rehabbers’ had no rite to save animals,,they should be left to die in agony w.no humane intervention, She is still in a psych hospital for being a psychopath,,,just sayen,,,mary

    • pss,,the person who turned this women in ,,,was her own daughter,,,she apologized online to all us rehabbers for her mother actions,,m

  7. To Dr,Bado,,,,I think maybe we just found the dea informant,,,,thus based upon his comment,,just gave u get out of a jail free card,,all charges dropped,,,mary

  8. Can we guess who is talking here ?

  9. So true Mary.

  10. Where should we write Mary ? His attorney ? Give me a list I will post the addresses.mwe will do it.

  11. I’m so sickened and saddened by this. This is a good doctor and a good man who had helped hundreds. This injustice had to stop! I’ve lost all faith in the justice system. I can only pray that this decision can be appealed and overturned, because I know first hand that the jury got this wrong.

  12. Dr. Bado and others like him are dangerous. He prescribed outrageously large amounts of high dose narcotics beyond what his patients needed, Many of his patients sold they’re meds on the street as well. I have seen too many of his patients who confirmed this and were struggling to get control of their addiction. This is not saying that some people don’t have legitimate pain, but he didn’t manage them well and made their problems worse. It was also quite clear that many did not have pain warranting the prescriptions they got. As a physician in the community, I’m glad his practice was shut down. It’s sad, because Dr. Bado is a nice guy, and he used to be a good doctor.

    • Gary Cohen are u a medical doctor???For unless u r a doctor,,,,how would u know the medical history of all Dr.Bado patients,,to know thee exact dosage each individual patient needed based on height ,weight ,and condition??Furthermore,,how would u even think u know ,”what is needed,”’ are u some sorta god????Why do u think u have a rite to decide who suffers in physical pain and who does not????The definition of a true psychopath is someone w/delusion of grandeur,ie ,thinking there god,,,,,inability to see reason,,inability for compassion or seeing the suffering of another human being,.,,and actually enjoying to watch someone suffer,,,Sooo are u a psychopath undiagnosed???Im just trying to understand why u would think u could ever know answer to questions like the one u answered,,ie,,large amount of medicines, beyond a patient needs,,,or someone is a dangerous doctor,,unless u r a doctor your self???The reason I would like to know the answer to these question is,,,rite now,,someone forced to endure the physical pain from a medical illness by thier medicine forcible being taken from them by people like u,,,who think they have a divine rite to decide who suffers in physical pain and who does not,,,,,rite now,,a humanbeing has taken a gun to their head to end their physical pain,,because there medicines have forcible been taken by someone like u,,,who think they have a rite to decide who suffer in physical pain and who does not…Soo I would love to know why,,,u think u have that rite???who lives or dies,,who suffers in physical pain and who does not,,,,and who’s life/career should be extinguished and who’s shouldn’t,,,,Why do u think u have that rite to decide all this????Please answer,,,i am sure it will enlighten all of us,,,,maryw

      • pss,,,I see u say physician,,,r u a actual pain management Doctor w/ a m.d.,,,and were any of these people actually your patients to know their medical histories????Also do u feel chronic physical pain humanbeings due to a medical condition should be allowed medicines that effectively lessen their physical pain?????ANY medicine,,,and if u don’t,,,,why do u think u have the rite to decide who suffers in physical pain, how much they are too suffer,,and why do u think it your rite to decide who suffers in physical pain and who does not,,,when it is physically impossible for you to actually feel the physical pain of another,,,,,??????mary

    • Dr. Cohen, as an innocent physician attacked by the federal government through perjury and outright law-breaking, I would like to say this to your statement:

Medicine is a state function, not federal. We are supposed to be regulated by our State Medical Boards. The law that is being used by government overreach exempts physicians from prosecution. The practice of medicine should never be treated criminally. Don’t think that, as a family physician, you are safe. As they run out of doctors to attack, when do you think your name will come up?

If we, as physicians, don’t stand together against this illegal action on the part of the DOJ and support our colleagues under attack, then eventually everyone will be a target.

Please visit my website, http://www.doctorsofcourage.org and read about my case as well as others.

As a family physician, do you treat your patients’ pain, or do you, out of fear, send them to “specialists”? Pain should be handled by the primary care physician, since it is the primary reason people go to a doctor. If you don’t treat your patient’s pain, and do it effectively, you fail at the oath you took at your graduation. And if you do treat their pain, watch out. Your number will come up.

  13. Maybe we need to ask ourselves how can I help this doctor who was helping us. I want to support him. I don’t know how. Should we write letters ..who to ??? We can’t just sit an say that’s to bad. If each one of use would ask at least 3 people to write a letter also we would make a difference.
No one is going to come rescue us we have to get this started ourselves. How long should we wait. I think about I’m killing people also by not doing my share. Please any addresses that would help this doctor ..please post them. Thank you

  14. The CDC and other political offices have lumped real “pain patients ” in with Addicts. Dr’s are afraid of the government and who is suffering, pain patients?

There are thousands of pain patients that are being hurt. It seems like you are one person that is doing us great harm. You are on Fox and only giving one side. Of course it is sad to see real addicts. They did it to themselves, we did not. The focus and help are targeting the addicts, we are being punished!

I’ve been on the lowest dose of OxyContin since the early 1990s. I’ve never taken more than I’m supposed to. It helps my chronic pain. I am 72 yrs.

You said that many addicts are killing themselves. Once again you have your facts wrong. The people who are killing themselves are PAIN PATIENTS!

I took care of my grandparents for several years. My grandmother had Fibromyalga (and other aunts did too), she was in such terrible pain that she finally killed herself; I still have her letter to me.

Dr Manning, would you consider teaching everyone there are two different sides to this story. My story is long and very interesting.

Many others are suffering terribly because of the government not doing there homework. It is a horrible situation and I think you know this. Don’t believe the stories about the Dr’s that are losing in the courts, the lawyers paint the story just as others that have their own agendas. You would NOT TAKE A PAIN PATIENT now would you?

I saw my Dr. (Rheumatologist) for 15 yrs, he retired. The clinic ” Monor & James in Seattle actually kicked out ALL PAIN PATIENTS. This is true, I personally talked to that clinics President and the Univ. Of Wash head person (they called me) after they read s post I wrote. I pray to God that someone will see our side and be our hero. I know that once Trump has time we might begin to get our story heard. Not before many more have taken there lives. I think deep down you know I’m right, do you have the courage to tell the other side of the story?

  15. This Doctor INJUSTICE,,,could be anyone of us!!!!!Now I know,,us chronic pain people get yelled at for not pulling our weight,,for not trying hard enough to stop this,,however,,,ANY doctors who are fortunate enough to still have their practice,,be it pain management,,or simple family practice,,,if u guys don’t start fighting back also,,Like Dr.Cheek,,or Dr.Steve,,,,,they will be coming for u,,,its no longer a choice anymore,,All it will take for the dea to bust down your doors is 1 person,,,complaining about u as a doctor,,or 1 parent of a adult off spring who wants revenge for the irresponsibility of their off spring,,or a set-up via dea…If we don’t fight back together,,,,,there will be no-more medicines that effectively lessens physical pain from a medical illness like opiates..Dr.Ibsen was 1000 % correct,,,,they want opiates gone, and the doctors who prescribe them,,,They want us to die,,,suffering in agony,,and they care not for justice,,,They care about extinguishing doctors lives, our lives, power and control..For there is no justice,no humanity,no civilized society in court sanctioned torture and genocide onto all the medically ill and the doctors who treat us….We need to start videoing our suffering,,,like the public flogging of the days of old,,Soo people can see the torture and genocide our government has willfully caused,,,mary

    • Where are the pharmacy companies. Why aren’t they speaking up. If they want us to purchase their products so much why aren’t they in there fighting our fight for us
