No good deed goes unpunished

My first read of the morning was from THE DRUG MONKEY… it would appear that this RPH did not have a good day yesterday… Here is his post

He finally admitted that all these years… he has worked for RITE AID in California… and the important verb here is HAS… apparently two “suits” walked in yesterday and told him his services were no longer needed…

You see there is a authorized strike against Rite Aid.. which reportedly includes 6,000 employees including RPH’s.

He has been making various posts about the fact that Rite Aid is wanting to reduce/eliminate 34 existing benefits. I have not seen what the per-cent of  the typical employee’s wage package this would represents.

Personally, I can’t remember a job that I had  that had anywhere near 34 benefits.

While….John Standley, CEO, president and chairman of the company, earns almost $6 million a year and four senior vice presidents combined make about $9 million… in fact it has been reported that Standley’s pay package was increase by almost 300 %.. Apparently the BOD … set some goals to be met.. that were so low that bonuses were paid.. even when the corporation is annually losing money.

It would appear the RITE AID is “pulling out all the stops” to intimidate the union workers who have authorized a strike… “taking out” a high profile RPH for the company.. shows how far they are willing to go.

Does Rite Aid consider their reputation so fragile .. that they are afraid of WORDS?

Here is something that I wrote about some of Rite Aid’s tactics to keep their stores open

Warm bodies are good enough !

This is a good example for the rest of you RPH’s out there… you need to start documenting all the rules you are being coerced to break/bend. You MUST send emails of concern to both management and HR/CCO/LEGAL… if you don’t copy to the latter … don’t bother to send to the former…

Today’s corporate environment is ran on LIES – AMNESIA – IGNORANCE

Just think about it.. how many times have you come back with something that you have been told my upper management only to be confronted with…

“..I never said that…”…” that is not what I heard/said…” “.. I didn’t know a thing about it ..””.. I don’t remember hearing/saying anything about that ..”

Just think about it.. in corporate America today… nothing seems more important than revenue/profits.. your job… your license… your patient’s health/well being are being place at risk.. and if this is the case where you work… YOU ARE COMPLICIT
