Steve, I hope you will be there as I am a RSD/CRPS patient for 15 years. I have a Spinal Cord Stimulator, have multiple nerve blocks, and I also, take a controlled substance for the management of my pain. I am going will the intent to address the problem of some pharmacists practicing medicine without a license. I have had my prescriptions filled at the same Walgreen’s for over a year when one of the pharmacists. Who in the past has watched the pharmacy manager fill my prescription, told me I would have to wait the 3 days before the pharmacy manager came back, I asked him why and he threatened that he would take the prescription and see to it that I never got my medication filled again. I reported him made numerous web site complaints. I am trying to help teach these pharmacists that they have a duty to help in the treatment of chronic pain and not to judge or to play doctor. I would prefer they ask what I have let me help educate, but, DO NOT humiliate me or threaten my health. Thank you for your understanding and as my Walgreens manager you are a true health care asset.
If I could afford the time off, I’d go Steve. Even though I’m in California, I feel like this warfare on chronic pain needs to be addressed wherever it occurs. I am surprised to find that the Florida board appears to be a bigger set of of tools than the one here in California. I always thought that our board had the monopoly tunnel-visioned stupidity and lust for power, all in the name of public safety of course.
